Tweak your lifestyle

It's a familiar story: You pledge to honor a daily elliptical routine and count every last calorie. But soon, you're eating cupcakes at the office and grabbing happy hour mojitos, thinking, Oops, diet over.

There is a better way: Swap the all-or-nothing approach for one or two healthy switch-ups in your daily routine. "Doing this can lead to more weight loss than you ever imagined," says Marissa Lippert, RD, author of The Cheater's Diet.

In fact, we talked to readers who knocked off 10, 25, even 60 pounds with some easy tweaks. Borrow their slim-down secrets to transform your body the real-world way.

"I used to eat out at restaurants up to nine times a week! By cutting back to just once a week and ordering a grilled chicken salad instead of a large bowl of pasta, I've lost 20 pounds in one month."

"I reached my goal weight after I stopped routinely buying snacks at the grocery store. If I wanted a bag of chips or a candy bar, I had to walk to the store to get it. That inconvenience usually made me ignore my cravings." —Heather Del Baso, Worcester, MA

"I used to skip breakfast, but now I never go without. I always eat about 300 calories of a healthy mix of protein and whole grains. My go-to meal: a sandwich with natural peanut butter and apple butter. It keeps my hunger down so I snack less throughout the day. In a little over a year, I've shed 65 pounds."—Bo Hale, Tulsa, OK

"I try to fit in small bouts of exercise whenever possible, like doing jumping jacks or crunches during television commercials or dancing while washing dishes. This burns extra calories and keeps me from mindlessly munching in front of the TV. Now my clothes fit way better, and I’m more toned than ever." —Megan Tiscareno, Hammond, IN

"I quit smoking, and right away joined a gym and started working out with a personal trainer. There was no way I could exercise and feel healthy if I kept lighting up. I've already dropped 37 pounds in three months!" —Leila Fathi, Memphis, TN

"I totally cleaned out my pantry. Once I replaced the foods I used to overindulge in, like ice cream, with lower-cal snacks, such as roasted sunflower seeds or Special K Chocolatey Delight cereal, I began making better choices automatically. Now, I'm slimmer than I was before I had my two kids!" —Lori Feldman, Coconut Creek, FL

"After work, my colleagues and I always grabbed dinner—and it was usually deep-fried. Then we changed things up. Instead of nights out, we started walking and running around a local track. A year later, I’m down 40 pounds." —Ellen Setzer, Cleveland, OH

"I loaded my iPod with jams that make me look forward to going to the gym. They energize me, allowing me to pick up speed on the elliptical—and because I want to hear my entire playlist, my workouts are longer now. Two months later, I'm down 13 pounds and have killer legs." —Kara Marshall, York, ME

"By adding vegetables to the foods I love—like eating pizza topped with arugula and green peppers instead of pepperoni—I became so full so quickly that I no longer had room to eat things like chips or super-rich desserts. I said good-bye to four dress sizes!" —Janessa Mondestin, New York City, NY

Lose Weight Fast by Eating More!!!!

Yes, you read that right! When you consider how to lose weight fast, eating more isn’t the first strategy that comes to mind. But studies have shown time and again that you can control your appetite by eating smaller, more frequent meals.
This approach helps you lose weight fast in two ways:
  1. It keeps you from getting too hungry. Excess hunger is the number one reason why people stop dieting, and it is also a leading cause of binging. When you control your hunger, you can control your calorie intake.
  2. Small meals help to increase metabolism. You will lose Weight Fast as your body burns through them faster. This is a near-effortless way to reduce the number of calories you eat, hence to lose weight.

Start by doing 15 – 30 minutes of yoga each day. Search online to find a good yoga sequence for beginners. Don’t let the more advanced poses scare you off; even yoga masters had to start somewhere!

Quick Weight Loss Tips And Tricks

Drink plenty of water. Water is not just way to flush out toxin but if you have more water in your body you will generally feel healthier and fitter. The best thing about water is that is has no calories at all. Drink a glass of water early in the morning to start your day flushing out toxins from your body & remember to drink a glass of water before you start the meal. It will make you feel fuller earlier.
Stay away from sweetened aerated drinks as they are high on calories. Better stick to diet sodas if you have to indulge.
Include in your diet more of fresh fruits and vegetables. These things contain more % water, vitamins, minerals & fiber so that there is nothing that you have to lose by feasting on them. They fill you up without adding to your weight.
Eat fresh fruit instead of drinking fruit juice. Juice is often sweetened but fresh fruits have natural sugars. When you eat fruit, you are taking in a lot of fiber, which is needed by the body, and fruits of course are an excellent source of vitamins.
Increase your fiber intake. The body needs a lot of fiber. So try to include in your diet as many fruits and vegetables as well as whole grains, pulses and legumes as you can.
Eat intelligently. The difference between man and beast is that we are driven by intelligence while beasts are driven by instinct. Don’t just eat something because you feel like eating it. Ask you’re self whether your body really needs it.
Watch what you eat. Keep a watchful eye on every thing that goes in. Sometimes the garnishes can richer than the food itself. Accompaniments too can be very rich. Remember that it is the easiest thing in the world to eat something without realizing that it was something that you should not have eaten.
Control that sweet tooth. Remember that sweet things generally mean more calories. It is natural that we have cravings for sweet things especially chocolates and other confectionary. Go easy on theses things and each time you consume something sweet understand that it is going to add on somewhere.
Have regular meal timings and do not change the routine. Try to have food at fixed times of the day. You can stretch these times by half an hour, but anything more than that is going to affect your eating pattern, the result will either be a loss of appetite or will make you stuff yourself with more than what is required the next time you eat.
Eat only when you are hungry. Some of us have the tendency to eat whenever we see food. We use parties as an excuse to stuff our selves. Understand that the effect of a whole week of dieting can be wasted by just one day’s party food. Whenever you are offered something to eat do not decline it completely but just break of a nibble so that you appear to mind your manners and at the same time can watch your diet.

Golden Rule: Never Give Up

If you really want to lose weight fast, you have to be prepared to really do everything in your power to lose weight. There is no easy way to lose weight fast. If there was, the majority of people would have a body as slim as they wanted to have. Therefore you need to go where others don’t go. You need to be persistent and willing to give up some of the foods you like. You need to be tough and exercise every day. Only then can you lose weight in a rapid way.

Create Your Own Diet & Weight Loss Plan

Ready-made diet programs are there for people who do not want the hassle of creating their own plan. It is however much better to put some time in researching and learning how to make your own diet plan. Creating your own personal plan really gives you the advantage of understandingwhy and how you lose weight when you do certain things. WLZine gives you all the information you need to teach yourself how to lose weight in the fastest and healthiest way possible.

Exercise Twice Every Day. Morning Sports, Evening Walk

If you really want to lose weight fast you have to exercise regularly, preferably two times a day. Do the more heavy sports in the morning and make a long walk in the evening.  You can also take up swimming for weight loss. If you don’t like exercising you can make it more fun by doing a different kind of activity every day of the week. Or find someone to team up with, this will make it a lot easier to maintain a daily exercise schedule. Exercising this way for a longer time period will result in you losing weight quick. Scientific studies have also shown exercising regularly is good for health and can even extend your life span. More on exercising twice a day on our workout twice a day to lose weight page.
Tip:Do a cardio exercise right after you wake up, before breakfast. It’s a well known fact that doing cardio before breakfast gives added benefit to your fat loss rate when exercising. This is because your body is close to starvation mode after waking up, your body is out of energy because you didn’t eat for a long time.

Drink Tons Of Water

Drink as much water as your body can handle. Not many people realize that they are missing out on losing a lot of weight by not drinking enough water every day. Drinking a lot of water increases the bodies’ metabolism resulting in a high increase in fat loss. Recently, a study by Virginia Tech was done where for a period of three months, half of a group of 48 people on a low-calorie diet slowly increased the amount of water they drank every day. The other half didn’t. The half that increased their amount of daily water intake lost 4.5 pounds of weight more as the other half who didn’t increase their water intake.

NEVER Drink Alcohol

Alcohol has one of the worst influences on weight loss of all the “nutrients” you can “feed” your body with. Alcohol will sabotage your weight loss progress and will make you feel worn out and tired(which doesn’t do your workouts a lot of good). Don’t drink it. Drink water instead. It’s boring, yes. But you want to lose weight fast, don’t you? If you are a heavy user of alcoholic drinks and replace them with water you will see fast weight loss results in a matter of weeks.

In this modern day and age we sometimes do not realize how lazy we’ve become, we use the car for everything. Some people even take the car to post a letter in the mailbox one block away from their home. This is something you have to change when you want to lose weight. Instead of taking the car to travel to places in about a five to ten mile radius around your house(or more, if you prefer), take a walk or ride a bike. This is one of the best ways to lose weight. Of course there’s a difference when you need to travel 100 miles instead of 10 miles but you get the point.
